Grinding is the process of continued downsizing of the already measuring 2.5 cm to finer sizes. In the grinding process required grinding media which is comprised of:
1. The balls of steel or ceramic (steel or ceramic balls).
2. rods of steel (steel rods).
3. Mixed steel balls and minerals or ores alone are called semi autagenous mill (SAG).
4. Without grinding media, only minerals or ores mutually grind and called autogenous mill.
Grinding equipment used are:
1. Ball mill with grinding media such as steel balls or ceramic.
2. Rod mill with grinding media in the form of steel bars.
3. Semi-autogenous mill (SAG) when the media is partly penggerusnya minerals or ore itself.
4. Autogenous mill when media penggerusnya are minerals or ore itself.

Ball Mill Features:
1. It is an efficient tool for grinding many materials into fine powder.
2. Factory balls are used to grind many kinds of mine and other materials, or to select the mine.
